Dr. Jaime’s Approach to Implant Dentures
In this video, Dr. Lilian Jaime explains how denture design affects more than just your smile and why facial structure plays a critical role.
Many patients ask how we design and make dentures. I take this process very personally because my goal is not only to improve your smile, but also to help you look younger and more refreshed.
The face can be thought of as three sections: the upper portion, which includes the eyes and forehead; the middle portion, which includes the mouth; and the lower portion, which includes the jaw. The middle portion is often where aging becomes most noticeable, usually because of loss of tooth height over time.
Properly designed dentures can help restore that lost height. When this happens, they can reduce creases around the mouth and create a more youthful appearance. This is why I pay close attention to how the teeth are placed and positioned.
The result is dentures that look natural, support your facial structure, and help you look noticeably younger, not just better when you smile.
