What Is an Overdenture?

In this video, Dr. Lilian Jaime explains how overdentures provide a flexible, removable solution when permanent treatment is not yet possible.

When patients are not ready or able to afford veneers, crowns, bridges, implants, or implant-supported crowns, we offer a transitional smile option.

This is a removable appliance that fits over your natural teeth and is gently held in place by your existing teeth. It fills in missing spaces and improves appearance while you wait for a more permanent solution.

Because it is removable, you take it out daily to brush your teeth and clean the appliance. We also recommend coming in every six months for professional cleanings so we can maintain both your teeth and the appliance.

This option is especially helpful in several situations:

  • When the bone is still healing, and it is too early to place implants
  • When treatment needs to be done in stages
  • When a patient wants an improved smile for a wedding, reunion, or important event
  • When someone wants a cosmetic improvement without injections, anesthesia, or invasive treatment

The process is simple and fast. We digitally scan your mouth, design your smile using digital software, and then mill or 3D print the appliance. In many cases, it can be completed in about two weeks.

This transitional smile can replace a single tooth, several teeth, or even a larger section of the smile. It allows patients to regain confidence, improve their appearance, and feel comfortable in a dental setting while planning for permanent treatment later.

It is a practical, flexible solution that gives you options and a smile when you need them most.

5 Things People Still Get Wrong About Root Canal Pain Relief

Most people don’t decide they want a root canal. They decide they’ve heard enough reasons to avoid one. Maybe they remember a story from a family member. Maybe they were told the procedure is painful. Or maybe they waited so long that the idea of treatment now feels bigger than the toothache itself. Some of the hardest root canal [...]

Snap-In Dentures: When Removable Still Means Reliable

Snap-in dentures are removable dentures that attach directly to dental implants. They provide a middle ground between traditional dentures and fixed implant bridges. Snap-in dentures provide greater stability than conventional dentures but you can still remove them for cleaning and overnight care. One of the most common misconceptions is that once teeth are attached to dental implants, they can [...]

Do You Need a Root Canal? Signs, Benefits, and Treatment Steps

If there is one dental treatment that has earned a reputation over the years, it is root canal therapy. Right alongside tooth extractions, the words “root canal” tend to make people uneasy. Roundhouse Bridge vs. Traditional Dentures: Understanding the Difference

Many people are surprised to learn how different full-arch tooth replacement options can be.
