What Is a Same-Day Crown?

In this video, Dr. Lilian Jaime explains how advanced technology allows a crown to be designed, made, and placed in one visit.

A same-day crown means the entire process is completed in one visit. We prepare the tooth, then use advanced software to design the crown digitally. Once the design is approved, the crown is milled or 3D printed right in our office.

While the crown is being made, you can relax with coffee or tea. When it is ready, we cement the crown in place, and your treatment is complete the same day.

If you or someone you love is struggling with missing or damaged teeth, contact Sunshine Dental in Albuquerque, NM, for a free consultation to learn how our same-day dental crowns can enhance your smile, improve your function, and restore your self-confidence.

How Mini Implant Placement Supports a Smoother Healing Process

Last Updated on July 13, 2026 by Dr. Lilian Jaime Minimally invasive dentistry has an important key philosophy: treat what needs attention while protecting as much tissue as possible. Snap-In Dentures: When Removable Still Means Reliable

Snap-in dentures are removable dentures that attach directly to dental implants. They provide a middle ground between traditional dentures and fixed implant bridges. Roundhouse Bridge vs. Traditional Dentures: Understanding the Difference

Many people are surprised to learn how different full-arch tooth replacement options can be. As you begin comparing implant dentures and other full-arch restorations, the differences in design, retention, longevity, and daily comfort become much more important. A roundhouse bridge belongs to the implant denture family, but it is several steps removed from the traditional denture many people picture. [...]

Bleeding Gums? [Here’s What Your Body May Be Saying]

Bleeding gums are not something to fear or shy away from. They are your body’s way of sending a message before a small concern has the chance to become a bigger one. Think of the warning lights in your vehicle. Low tire pressure does not mean your car has broken down. Low fuel does not mean you are stranded. [...]

Last Updated on June 8, 2026 by Dr. Lilian Jaime What if you woke up one morning to find your favorite shoes slipping off your feet? Frustrating, right? You’d shuffle around, focused on every awkward step, hoping they don’t fly off. Now, picture that same uneasy feeling, except it’s not shoes, it’s dentures. For many traditional denture wearers, this [...]

Why Mini Implants May Lower Dental Implant Costs in 2026

Last Updated on June 1, 2026 by Dr. Lilian Jaime Dental implant costs in 2026 can influence when and how patients choose to begin treatment. For many people, the decision is not based on price alone. Treatment often has to fit around work schedules, family responsibilities, health needs, and monthly budgets. Even patients who feel ready to replace missing [...]

Cosmetic Dentist in Albuquerque, NM: What Does Your Smile Need?

Searching for a cosmetic dentist usually starts with a question, not a treatment name. You may notice something about your smile that bothers you, but you may not know which option makes sense. Maybe stains no longer respond to store-bought whitening. Maybe a chipped tooth catches your tongue, or uneven spacing makes your smile feel less balanced. Small details [...]
