Implant Dentures in Albuquerque, NM
If you’ve lost hope in your smile, please know that you’re not out of options. At Sunshine Dental, we understand the emotional and physical toll that missing teeth can take. Many of our patients come to us feeling discouraged, thinking their dental problems are beyond repair. But here, you’re not judged; you’re supported. Dr. Jaime walks beside each patient with empathy and gratitude, seeing not just the teeth that are missing, but the beautiful smile that’s possible. Our office is a place of comfort and trust, where your journey to a better future can begin. If you’re facing severe tooth loss, need multiple extractions, or are frustrated with loose dentures, there’s a solution. With implant dentures, we’re proud to offer a life-changing solution that allows you to smile confidently again.
What Are Implant Dentures?
Implant dentures are the modern alternative to dentures. They connect to dental implants that Dr. Jaime gently places throughout your jawbone. This connection keeps the denture from moving around, making it feel much more secure than a traditional denture that simply rests on the gums.
They can be removable or permanent, and they help restore your ability to diversify your diet, speak clearly, and smile without reservation.
The best candidates for implant dentures are those who already have missing teeth, but if you still need extractions, that’s no problem. Dr. Jaime can take care of that first as part of your treatment plan. After she has removed the teeth, there’s typically a healing period of six months to a year to allow the bone and gums to settle.
It’s important not to wait too long, though, as the jawbone can begin to shrink after you’ve lost teeth. The more it shrinks, the fewer options you may have for securing your denture with implants. That’s why an early evaluation can make a big difference.
Why We Use Mini Implants To Stabilize Implant Dentures
At Sunshine Dental, we use mini dental implants to support implant dentures because they offer a more comfortable, affordable, and accessible solution for our patients.
Mini implants are smaller than traditional implants, so they require less space in the jawbone. For many patients who have experienced bone loss or have been told they aren’t candidates for traditional implants, mini implants offer new hope.
Their small size also means Dr. Jaime can use a minimally invasive technique to place them in the jaw. No complex oral surgery needed! Since the procedure is much gentler on your body, you can look forward to less discomfort and quicker healing.
Dr. Jaime uses mini implants not only because they work well, but because they align with her mission: to make care more compassionate, more personalized, and more attainable. Many patients visit us believing their dental problems are too far gone. However, with mini implants, we can stabilize your denture and help you smile with confidence again.
And since mini dental implants are about half the cost of traditional implants, a stable, beautiful, and healthy smile doesn’t have to break the bank.
Implant Denture Options at Sunshine Dental
Over the years, patients have lovingly called Dr. Jaime a “magician” for the transformations she’s made possible with mini implant dentures. But it’s not magic. It’s experience, skill, and a commitment to walking with each patient toward a healthier, more confident future.
No matter where you’re starting from, we have implant denture options that can help you feel steady, supported, and excited to smile again.
Snap-In Dentures
Snap-in dentures are a great solution for patients who want their dentures to feel more secure without giving up the ability to remove them. These dentures “snap” onto 4-8 mini implants placed in your jaw, using a small housing inside the denture that gently clicks over each implant.
You can take it out to clean both the denture and the implants, and then simply snap it back in. Many of our patients who’ve struggled with loose, shifting dentures find this option life-changing.
Fix-on-Six Roundhouse Bridge
If you’re looking for something more permanent, stable, and natural, our Fix-on-Six® ceramic roundhouse bridge may be the answer.
A roundhouse bridge, like a denture, replaces a complete arch of teeth. For the Fix-on-Six system, Dr. Jaime secures the bridge to 6-10 mini implants. We call this option “semi-removable” because only Dr. Jaime will remove it during your routine visits.
Unlike All-on-4 systems that use traditional implants and require surgery, long healing periods, and multiple appointments, our approach is minimally invasive and much faster. In most cases, Dr. Jaime can place the mini implants in about 15 minutes, and your final bridge is ready in just a few weeks. Patients love this option because it restores their smile without the long wait.
Permanent Roundhouse Bridge
For those who want the highest level of stability, the permanent roundhouse bridge offers a long-term solution that truly feels like having your natural teeth back. Dr. Jasime securely cements the bridge onto 10-12 mini implants. You never have to remove it, and you never have to worry about it shifting or dislodging.
The permanent roundhouse bridge provides maximum comfort, strength, and function, so you can eat a full range of foods and smile freely. This option is ideal for patients who want a lasting, worry-free solution and are ready to invest in the strongest, most natural-feeling restoration we offer.

Frequently Asked Questions
It all starts with a free consultation. During your visit, we’ll do an exam and take a 3D CBCT scan so Dr. Jaime can get a clear view of your jaw and plan the best treatment for you. She’ll let you know exactly how many mini implants you’ll need to stabilize your denture or roundhouse bridge.
When you come in to have your mini dental implants placed, we’ll start the procedure by administering local anesthesia to numb you. Dr. Jaime will then place each implant that you need by making a small hole through the gums and into the bone. She’ll gently thread the implant into the hole and check that each one is stable. Then, she’ll secure a temporary restoration for you to wear while the dental lab makes your custom denture or roundhouse bridge.
The whole process takes just a few visits over a few weeks. Dr. Jaime will check the fit, fine-tune the color, and make sure you love your new smile. We don’t stop until it feels just right and you’re completely happy with your new smile!
Yes, we often can! If your current denture is in good shape and has enough space to fit the attachment housings, we can convert it into a snap-in denture. It’s a more affordable option for implant dentures. It’s also a great way to get stability without starting from scratch, especially if you already like how your denture looks.
At your free consultation, we’ll evaluate your denture and let you know if you’re a good candidate for this option.
The honest answer is, it depends. The cost varies based on how many implants you need and whether we’re using your current denture or creating a new one. But don’t worry: we’re dedicated to helping you find a solution that works for your smile and your budget.
We work with PPO insurance plans and offer a complimentary benefits check to see what your plan may cover. Just bring your info to your consultation! While not all insurances cover implant dentures, some do. It’s always worth checking.
We also have a wide range of financing options, including several third-party providers and our own in-house payment plan. Our treatment coordinator is amazing at what she does. She’ll walk you through your options and find a plan that helps make your treatment affordable. We truly do everything we can to help you get the care you need without financial stress!
